- Flowers of Crete is a not-for-profit organisation that I formed three years ago to promote the protection and preservation of the native flora of the Mediterranean island of Crete. I am an artist and writer. The aims of Flowers of Crete are to help people understand the need for conservation here and to show them the precious heritage we are charged with preserving for our children.
